A solid wooden plate is made flexible with calculated cuttings from which round and ergonomic shapes can be formed. The furniture can be shipped in a flat package whereupon the customer assembles or "bends" the furniture by himself without the use of any tools. The targeted weakening of the material creates an aesthetic lightness, which also creates a bouncy effect when sitting. Applied to a stool in this project, this cutting method can also be used on other types of furniture.
